The photograph is done in almost total darkness without artificial lightning.There are situations where artifical lighting is just not available or would be damaging valuable artifacts. We specialize in photography without flash and artificial lightning.

These are detailed shots of the world famous Raimondi Stele in the the anthropoligical museum of Lima, Peru. These shots are taken with a low light environment with only the museum lighting available. No additional lighting was used. In addition, those photos are taken without a tripod.

The Grand Scale

Archaeological photography is not only documenting and cataloging a site. The surroundings, the landscapes and the setting in which a site is placed are equally important. At least the ancient builders had a reason they built where the built.

Photographing artifacts can be very difficult and tedious. The Photographer will need expensive equipment and years of experience to succeed. We have both as you will see in the following samples. You can click on each of the photos to see the incredible detail our equipment provides
