1995 I graduated from the renowed Institute for Print, Graphic design
and Photography in Munich, Germany with a bachelors degree.
I worked a few years as a graphic designer, Quark XPress, Photoshop
and Illustrator specialist in Munich until 1998 when I immigrated to Nova
Scotia, Canada. The same year I founded a graphic design company called
"The Design Fort Desk Top Publishing" in
Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, one of the most historic towns in North America.
I never forgot about other big passion: Archaeology and the love for
archaeological and historical places all around the world.
During my own research over the last 10 years I discovered that there
is a lack of sources of good quality historical and archaeological photos on
the Internet. It is also extremely difficult to find photographers that
specialize in that field. Especially in the field of Archaeology the
photographer has to have - besides the obvious photographic skills - a passion
for history and the necessary knowledge about the subject.
